We have lovely gift cards that you can order by phone and pay with a credit card, or come into the bakery and buy one to give to that special person. It’s so much fun to have a gift card in your pocket and spend on anything that suits your fancy. It takes the guess work out of what to get as a gift and always so appreciated.
There is no expiration date and good to the last penny (you know, that little copper coin not worth 1 cent, but fills our pockets & change jars.)
I thought you might want to meet the staff. I am so proud of them. Each one is multi-talented and they all play well in the same sandbox. They all laugh, sing, and dance around here. Sometimes I come out of my office and join them. What really gets them is when I put an apron on and help make product. I think they wonder if I know what I am doing. I guess that depends on how much ginkgo baloba I’ve had.
MEET THE FABULOUS STAFF
Lead baker, cake decorator, and bakery manager. Served in the Army, family man, and excellent baker. Ken is my right hand man. He wears so many hats and does it well.
James came to us as an extern with Oregon Culinary Institute. He was such an asset we hired him when his externship was finished. He’s our cinnamon roll baker. He thinks they are never going to end. Welcome to the team James.
Torey is our front counter per gal. She was raised in Australia and moved back to the states about 1-1/2 years ago and finished school. We are so delighted to have her. She also makes all the pastries when needed. She has become our backup cake decorator to assist Ken. She has talent and practices all the time. As of 2016 Torey is going to the Oregon Culinary School to improve her knowledge and skills.
Audra is our go-to gal. She covers everything from the front counter, customer service, stocking the cases, shrink wrapping, dishes, making cookies, whatever. Every bakery needs an Audra. Willing to do anything to help. Audra also has eyes in the back of her head and sees and knows all. She’s a seasoned mother – what can I say.
Dori walked in one day and said she needed a job so we gave her one. The best front counter person we have ever had. Also helps in the kitchen making the pastries for your enjoyment. Also the never ending job of parfaits and shrink wrapping. She never stops moving and is a huge asset to the bakery team.
Tia said she loved to bake, knew her way around a kitchen so Tia is our newest baker. Does excellent work. Her job is not only baking all the goodies you love, but she keeps James in line. She keeps us all laughing. Excellent addition to our staff.
Kayla is our about to graduate Senior in high school. We have her part-time and everyone loves her. Kayla does the front counter, stocks the cases, and anything that needs doing. Kayla is excellent with our customers.
